About

This is just my place where I put random articles. I don’t update it extremely often, but fairly regularly. My range of topics is wide, from the Game of Go to the CCIE; from Grad School (Electrical Engineering) to Family Life & Photos.  I’ve categorized all of these interests and their individual topic collections are available on the navigation bar to the right.

I’m a 29 year old (July 2007) Electrical Engineer from Rhode Island. I’m planning on starting Graduate School part time for my MSEE this fall and I’m using the summer for preparation. I’m currently interested in Networking and ocean technologies and hope to be entering a special concentration at URI based on these interests.

I’m also a Go player. Go is a 3,000 year old Chinese board game similar in genre to Chess. The goal of the game is to surround more territory than your opponent. This is done with stones (black and white) which are placed on the intersections of a 19×19 board. The basic rules are very simple, but the strategy is complex enough to support hundreds of professional players in China, Korea, and Japan (top professionals earn around $500,000 a year). It’s my primary leisure activity and I organize a Go Club that meets at Borders in Garden City, Cranston, RI each Wednesday (6:30 pm if you’re local and interested).
